LIFE OF THE PHOTOGRAPH

This section explores the life of a photograph once it has been created and shared with others to experience. It considers the photograph’s changeable existence, how it is used, manipulated, shared and displayed in different material forms, i.e. paper and pixels.

Photographs have the ability to exist in multiple places at any one time and move between different formats, sizes and uses. Analogue photographs can move from a physical print to a digitised scan, just as a digital born photograph can be downloaded and printed to any size.
